How do you make money?  How much money does each product make for you?  How do you structure your company to maximize your most profitable products and reduce the emphasis on your least profitable products? This course uses your sales history, expenses and what plan to layout the most likely profitability scenarios for your business or product.  Then, we analyze the data, assessing how to improve the bottom line of your company while moving closer to your vision.
*Laptop with the ability to run MS Excel (preferred) or Google Sheets required.  Menu and product costing, sales reports and expense reports needed.

Topics Include:

  • Using Financial Projections; what they are and what they are not

  • Calculating profitability

  • Using your projections to change or develop your business strategy and focus

This is an intermediate course, which are most effective for business owners that have been working for at least a year and are positioning themselves for substantial growth.  These courses build on previous classes, as indicated by their prerequisites.  Students who choose to take a course without having the prerequisite may not be able to complete all of the course activities.
